Blossom, Bubbles, Buttercup, and Monkey

Here’s an overdue picture post of the kittens I’ve fostered over the last few months.

The three babies — two black and one gray — were dropped off at the clinic to be fostered until we could find a home. The girls at the clinic named them Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup after the Powerpuff Girls (I had no say in the matter). They were about three weeks old at the time. So I brought them home and bottlefed them until they could eat solid food, and found them homes almost immediately. The fluffy gray one is Monkey, whom I found in a tree outside a Barnes & Noble when she was about six weeks old. I wasn’t able to keep her, but she found a good home with friends of mine, a Scrabble-playing couple and their daughter one town over. And they are simply enamoured with her. I would have kept Monkey if my roommate weren’t allergic, but she’s happy with her new family and their menagerie, so I’m happy too.

Monkey is by far the cutest. :)

They kill me! When they are that small they almost look like bats! lol. sweet that you bottle fed and fostered them. We tamed a bunch of ferals in the neighborhood and couldn’t resist but keeping one. (actually, we have two from the ‘hood…our neighbor bottle fed our middle ‘child’ from a different litter last year). We have quite the posse now :-) Let me know if you want a link to the middle one’s easy-to-read photoblog. She’s quite a character.
